Inconsistent Practices

In the spirit of continuous improvement, Oregon SFI Program Participants have rigorous programs that monitor all of their forest management activities and their overall performance. Striving for ongoing improvement of practices has always been a key element of the SFI Standard.

In Oregon the public has two opportunities to report potential compliance issues:

1. If an issue is identified that may violate the Oregon Forest Practice Act or forestry best management practice rules you are encouraged to contact enforcement officials at the Oregon Department of Forestry, Private Forests Program by phone at 503-945-7470.
2. If an individual practice is suspected to be in nonconformity with the SFI Forest Management Standard, follow the process defined in Section 11-Public Inquiries and Official Complaints found here.
